Precision Fuel Delivery

The injection pump is tasked with delivering fuel to the engine at mind-boggling pressures—often exceeding 29,000 PSI in modern Common Rail systems like the 6.7L Powerstroke or Cummins platforms. When these pumps fail, the results range from a simple no-start condition to catastrophic contamination of the entire fuel system.

The CP4 Disaster and Prevention

We specialize in the infamous Bosch CP4 high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) found in modern Ford 6.7L and GM LML engines. Due to incredibly tight tolerances, water or air in the fuel system can cause the cam roller inside the pump to turn 90-degrees, machining away the pump internals and sending metal shrapnel directly into all 8 injectors.

Contamination Recovery: We perform total fuel system replacements (Pump, Injectors, Lines, Rails, and dropping the tank) after a CP4 failure.
Disaster Prevention Kits: We highly recommend and install CP4 bypass kits (DKS) that route fuel back to the tank/filters instead of the injectors in the event of pump failure, saving thousands in repair costs.
CP3 Conversions: Replacing the problematic CP4 pump with the far more robust older-style CP3 pump for permanent peace of mind.
